讲讲run英国工作的经历

本人今年20，G5大三，成绩目前均分72，雅思8.5 8.5 6.5 7 普通cs小黄女

tl;dr:想run最好无脑加拿大，英国挺难的

我LEETCODE easy刷了300题左右，medium10题以内，已被某大投行录取，这个投行赞助工签所以我毕业了以后（我现在最后一年）就可以拿工签工作，工作五年拿绿卡，拿绿卡了一年之后拿护照。

先说说英国找工作的过程，首先你要去找工作。先注册一个领英，然后填写你的经历，然后在skill那一栏会有个get skill badge，如果你是cs这个就是给你点题让你做如果达到一定分了就给你个奖章，能证明你的水平。这个badge在Github上都有答案的，自己看就行了

第二步就是投简历，自己写个简历开始海投吧，找个亲戚朋友给你看看，我9月份开始投了200多个只有20个邀请我进行下一步的，这还是我G5本的情况，对于一年硕想run出去的老嗨们只会更加困难，我不知道我有没有吃国外diversity的福利，我觉得没有。。头的时候领英看人数51-200(edit:200以下)的公司直接点屏蔽，他们不可能给你visa的，甚至很多大一点的公司（人数5000+）一看要赞助你visa就直接跑了，我点名几个， IG,BBC,Access group，FLAG之流还有大投行银行还有亚森哲之类的都会赞助的，有一定人数的跨国公司一般也都会赞助。英国领英上还有很多招聘中介我没接触过。一年硕想去FLAG英国的话如果没有内推直接不要想

第三步（不是所有公司都有这一步），如果你简历过了，银行和一些和人打交道比较多的公司会给你个aptitude assessment写，这种测试就是情商测试，字很多，会给你一个情景和56个差不多的选项让你排序，如果你英语不好又真的特别想润的话建议提前买好chegg.coursehero membership自己去查，不保证正确；还有一些IQ测试之类的东西挺简单的

第四步网上代码测试，一般都是easy难度不会太难 除了sky会让你用react写page，这个我是真的不会 sky给的钱还稀少就33000

以上两个如果你被毙了可以试试换个邮箱简历不变申请，比如我之前申请amex他给我发的题我忘记做了我就换了个号申请，成功进入下一轮

第五步或者第六步，behaviour interview 这种面试都是有套路的，现在都是网上面试你新建一个文档把常见问题和答案写下来别人问的时候一边看一边读就行了，别太明显

第六步或者第五步，technical interview 一般是洋带人看你做题，你不仅需要写得出来还需要告诉他你是怎么想的这个很重要，光题做出来还不行，我有个公司面试他让我换种方法做我没想出来给我挂了；或者是问你一些techincal questions，解法同上

有些大公司会给你assessment center，一般持续3小时左右，都是网上面试，就是一开始你会和几个路人一起分配到一起但是之后面试都是分开的，除了亚森哲有一个part会让你两人一组讨论（亚森哲面试挺奇葩的）。一般assessment center就是第五步和第六步的集合，这两个面试凑一起，有时候也有两part都是technical interview的，面试完一个部分会让你休息下喝点水

一般公司都是简历-情商测试（不一定有）-代码测试-(behavior interview & technical interview)/assessment center - 给offer，每个公司的招聘流程都不一样，有一些简历过了直接给你面试（如ocado），有一个简历过了还有6轮

至于system design我觉得不太需要看，目前只碰到一个奇葩公司考我这个的，我在Morgan stanley的朋友说他们公司也要考但是我很可惜简历关就被毙了

经过了这么多轮筛选，还有申请时候的焦虑，才能拿到一个6年之后才能入籍的签证，并且拿的钱还少，为什么不去同样钱少而入籍方便的加拿大呢

恰好我一个本科同学去了，根据她的反馈，如果是1年硕去的话，找工作会很难，但好在荷兰有一个什么一年找工作签证？？找不着工作只要有钱生活就能呆一年慢慢找；2年硕的话，有时间做实习和找工作，压力比较小；如果本科就去了（相当于呆了2-4年），据说没有找不到工作的，实在不行去荷兰华为...以上不包括cs专业，这专业哪个公司都会要。荷兰语不必须。run的话，之前是待够5年拿永居，不知道疫情以后变没有

补充一下， 第三步可以去闲鱼买别人的答案。然后真想润的话本科多找uk的summer intern。一年制硕士其实像ic和lse包括伦敦商学院都还是挺有机会留下来的，就是要一开学就把目标订好多network。

然后想问下最后是data science之类岗位吗还是quant

OP 这种属于过于优秀了，因此可能不太愿意委身做一些“低贱”的工作。虽说 sponsor 资质不太好办，但也不是不能办。现在由于英国用工荒，一些中餐馆、按摩店什么的都开始学着办 sponsor 资质了（因为他们连黑工都招不到了，有的甚至缺人到关门了）。已经来英国且没 OP 这么优秀的也不用慌，只要诸位愿意委身先去这些地方窝几年，也还是有机会的。不过如果没有 OP 这么优秀那就要做好能吃苦耐劳的打算，像我之前在另一个帖子里说过的店里的厨师，朝11晚12，上楼洗个澡把今天的脏衣服洗一下换身衣服再下来加班俩小时，日均工作时间至少 13 小时，还没有休息，literally 一天也没有。然后时薪差不多是最低工资的一半。能吃下这个苦的都能留下来，像我说的这家店的老板，人家也是这么过来的，现在在伦敦有车有楼，欧洲随便游。因此如果诸位不像 OP 这么优秀又不慎来了英国，也不要悲观。还是能留的。

我写这个帖子的目的就是劝退润英国的，如果g5本一等学位的我投了200份简历才找到一份工作，普通一年硕和成绩差一点的肯定比登天还难

我擦，太哈人了，我一年硕贼船都上了麻完了，家里也爆不出更多金币读别的，现在想着靠psw积累两年本地中小厂经验然后看看能不能搏到sponsor工签的公司吧...或者拿着这两年经验去试试其他英国有影响力的地区的工作...或者两年节衣缩食攒个二硕的钱，申请个带一年placement的硕士项目再来一把，最后只能拿着两年经验回到支那伺机而动了

话说忘了在哪个来源，看到英国大概是美国以外cs第五左右顺位国家（前面应该是加拿大香港新加坡澳洲那些的）

现在学生毕业有两年的PSW可以拿，可以用来找工作/工作。政府网站上有名单可以查哪些公司可以sponsor visa。

个人感觉除了finance、consultancy和computing相关的公司比较有钱大把给签证之外，engineering背景的可以试一试申请Arup、Atkins等等的偏土木建筑行业的公司，因为现在行业缺人也愿意给签证。

其实我看了点帖子甚至觉得英国还没那么卷，看到几个普通陆本非g5一年硕拿到四大offer的。。。感觉想留还是可以的，只是工作可能不是特别好。

我不明白英国哪里比加拿大强了？ 如果你想容易的移民，如果你喜欢吃中餐，如果你英语不好，如果你想去美国发展，加拿大都完爆英国。 虽然我没有去过加拿大，但是我觉得英国只有公共交通比加拿大建设的好，而那也因为英国地方小。英国的房子全部都很小并且500万人民币只能买到离市区10公里远的80平的小破联排

可能每个人和每个人的喜好不同吧 我还是更喜欢英国的文化气息，也算是近当代文化发源地之一了 而且国人少，也不见得坏

前100道题给我半个小时我都做不出来，后来慢慢的能20分钟之内做完了，后来又能10~15分钟之内做完了，而直到第250题开始我才能做到5分钟一道easy的速度 没有这个速度和正确率我觉得没有办法通过面试

可能别的人50道题 20道easy就这样了

我想先拿到身份再说，继续留在英国毕业了还有6年我就可以入籍了。

到美国工作的话还要读硕士，入籍会至少需要十几年。
