刚一个读MED的贴子，收到莫名奇妙很多负评，不太理解现在加拿大新移民的状态。 MED学校在BC是最高的通过率，达到11.25%，甚至有留学生能申请得到。

对比Waterloo的工科，通过率只有4.3%。

MED school 对有PR的，曾经在加拿大留学的人很难？ 不太理解。这些年的留学生都在快乐上学的状态？

PS，BC是个神奇的地方，医学院申请居然有两位数的通过率。

Again, who told you that undergrad Waterloo ENGR has an acceptance rate of 4.3%? Where did you get your info?

By the way, only my kids speak English like “Who told you that?”. If you were in med school, you would be able to find better ways to communicate in general.

你这对比的就不太一样。医学院基本上都是只有卷王才会去申请，你见过没有高gpa，很强的EC去申请医学院的吗？这里是有 self-selection bias 的。

高中申请大学因为ouac 水loo多大的cs很多人都可以顺手申请了。

就业环境好的时候，当然没很多人读MED，换以前那年代的笑话，找到工作的医生，都快过更年期了。

现在的话，不好说了。这几天的股灾和美国就业数字，相信很快会影响到加拿大。

我笑我朋友缺得，给18块钱/小时给新码农，他说简历根本看不过来，那怕是这价钱。

就业环境好的时候医学院 bar也很高。。。

现在也还一样啊，med school， residency出来都32了吧。

一直很高，问题是现在的职场不乐观。在入门职场找工作，最低层开始打滚几年，也要30了。

32能混出医生的，我没数据，但那怕40，我感觉也是人生赢家了。

职场乐不乐观和去不去卷医学院是两回事。一个现在学cs的，在地狱他也没办法去申请医学院，因为他根本就没relevant course or extracurricular. 你要是想去医学院基本上本科就得学lifesci, health sci, bio, Chem 这些。。。

所以说想进医学院要很卷啊。你让留学生去学这个很离谱的。。。先不说大部分有没有这个分，就算有医学院一年才招3000个人。

在QC，都要经CEGEP才到CS（当然，留学生移民的可能大部份没这个要补几门课）。

BSc的CS转MED完全没问题。

没身份的留学生读MED干嘛要。

你幻想而矣. 醫科一直以來都是又搶手又難進.

而且醫科這類supply有限的東東, 比CS這類可以隨時擴招幾倍的穩妥多了.

不去medical, 是不能非不為也.

没想像中抢手，护士可以说是抢手。加拿大没几个人有钱有耐心去读MED。大好青春泡十年图书馆不是常态的生活观念。
