I use the meetup app. Just for your info, most of the events held in Tokyo are around 渋谷.

I mostly just hangout in the hobgoblin British bar since many events are held there

LoL nah, as crazy as that sounds like. You ain't forced to participate in every single event. Adding them all just simply gives me more choices.

So You get the bar by reserving on meetup or you just get in without any notifications?

I usually check the app before going. If there is an event I will reserve, otherwise I will just drink at the bar.
