Their support for Palestine has nothing absolutely nothing to do with Islamic immigrants in Japan. They're anti-war/anti-apartheid/anti-militarism in general.
They probably do, but even if they don't they're still getting it right because Israel is an apartheid state drops JDAMs on residential neighborhoods. Would you say the mayor of Nagasaki doesn't understand the history on this issue?
