n68usb1· ↗I see that kinda different. 15.000 x 4 =60.000 + free accommodation (what is a normal rent? 80.000 per month?) + free food let’s say 2000 yen every day x 30 = 60.000 (and that’s probably super cheap) … let’s ignore the free WiFi and other stuff they offer.
So in all we get 200.000 yen … 40 hours a week x 4 are 160, that’s a hourly wage of 1250 yen.
I am on a working holiday and that’s a payed position with free accommodation and food… let’s just say there are many many offers out there that are not payed.
So doing this for one month and keep travelling is totally fine in my opinion. Doing this for one whole year… I wouldn’t do that

n6far0s· ↗How do you know that? First of all you don’t have to pay taxes when you earn less then 480.000 yen in one year. Since you would earn 60.000 yen in this job and it’s probably not something you would do your whole working holiday long you’re fine.. otherwise it’s something the employer has to take care of.
Ever heard of wwoofing or workaway? It’s the same .. you basically work for accommodation and food and sometimes you get some money but not much…

n6gljzt· ↗In the post above you calculated the actual wage. It is taxable. So by switching it to voluntary scheme both sides avoid tax. It is not tax deduction or something, it is direct accounting type tax bending.
