从大学算起 叔在加州湾区生活快20年了 叔女票 一个20出头的小女生 最近萌生念头想去日本生活个一两年 我们去日本旅游个几回 她回来就一门心丝跑日本去了 准备拉我一起从零开始学日语

我工作是remote 但也仅能在美国本土登陆电脑 公司HQ在东京 但expat去日本的机会不是常有 真要去 估计得换工作了 但能global remote的工作 真难找 找到没准工资要腰斩 10万美元顶天了

我没有什么财务负担 一点积蓄 20-30w美刀的样子 另外房子已经paidoff 市值1米 有美国绿卡 但日本签证估计是问题

有群友想我这样子run 日的嘛 ？有什么建议

你这条路我考虑过了 没蓝本就绿卡。 大手现在感觉工作不好找，但基本你过去收入就是砍半。而且你绿卡过去就没啥卵用 还是要回来 最好的还是你两头到处跑，现在工作苦哈哈，不layoff烧高香了

其实打算找个US based 能global remote的工作 毕竟10万刀税后也有7万 算上出租自住房 估计能应对日本的开支 我完全不懂日文 不期待能在日本找到本土的工作

If not in tech then give a shot. Japan is better than China for digital nomads but still for tax and stuff with PII it might be harder.

要来日本定居的话其实建议你把美国绿卡剪了，不然到时候报税和双重课税很蛋疼。我有个大学同学就这样，当年有美绿来日本定居就把绿卡剪了
